Hudson’s Bar & Grill Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19

​

Vancouver, WA – Hudson’s Bar & Grill announced today that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is an employee and last reported to work on Wednesday August 5, 2020.

​

The employee had just returned from furlough, and did not contract the virus at work.  The individual worked one shift and only began displaying symptoms at home.  The individual was tested on Thursday August 6, 2020 and Hudson’s was notified of the positive test result the same day. A total of five employees and several guests came into contact with this person during her shifts.  All employees who came into close contact with this individual were immediately sent home to quarantine for 14 days.  Hudson’s management is reaching out to all patrons who dined on Wednesday, August 5 to inform them of possible exposure so they can take the appropriate steps.  In addition Clark County Health Department will also call those exposed to gather information and provide guidance.  The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 is quarantining at home.

“I wish our employee a quick and full recovery,” said General Manager Brady Wilkerson. “The swift action on the part of the Hudson’s management team helped contain the exposure and prevent the spread of the virus to other parts of the business. We will continue to monitor staff for symptoms to maintain the health and safety of our employees, guests and community.”

Hudson’s Bar & Grill is following all CDC and Clark County Health Department recommendations regarding this exposure, and will not be closing.  Employees who were exposed were advised by medical professionals that their risk of contracting COVID-19 is low as they were following CDC guidelines which included wearing masks, washing hands regularly, sanitizing and physical distancing.

In addition to the regular sanitation regime, Hudson’s has continued to operate under the following guidelines:

​

  • Masks are required to be worn by all employees and guests when inside the business.

  • Limited occupancy and party size, with a minimum of 6’ between tables.

  • Table sanitizing before and after each guest use.

  • No contact menus.

  • Sanitizing stations throughout the business.

  • Directing staff who are symptomatic or have been in close contact with individuals suspected of or having COVID-19 to stay home and self-quarantine to prevent infecting clients and other staff.
